Why is additional data being downloaded when initiating the application?
On Android, iOS, Bada 2.0
The application might download additional data after the installation or update of Google Play, App store or Samsung application stores. The data is being downloaded when the application is being initiated and the size will be a few dozens of MB.
We recommend you to start the installation or update procedure when you have access to WiFi connection before you initiate the NavionTruck application. This way, you will be able to use the navigation without internet connection afterwards.
We also recommend you to deactivate the automatic updates in Google Play and to update the application manually and only when you have access to WiFi connection.
What should I do if I lose the data of the application or if I change devices?
If you are using the application in Android or Windows Phone, all you need to do is download the App from Play Store or Windows Store and afterwards download the maps, next, introduce the licence number you bought from store.naviontruck.com. The licence number appears in your account and your order number. If you use Windows CE, use the NavionTruck Wizard in order to download the app and the maps, next, follow the same steps as those for Android and Windows Phone. If you are using iPhone or iPad, download the appplication from App Store and recover your licence from your iTunes account.
A very important thing you should know is that each licence can be activated for a limited amount of times, thus we recommend you not to share the licence with anyone, once you have used up the amount of activations you have, you will have to purchase a new licence.
Using maps of different providers
In order to use maps of different providers, you will need an activated serial number for all the map providers you wish to use.
You will be able to download the map of your choice after you activate the serial number.
To select the map you wish to use, please go to the list of downloaded maps, Menu - Settings - Maps - List of maps.
Errors in the roads and map data
NavionTruck GPS Navigation uses OSM maps. Perhaps the most accurate maps with the largest number of updates per year because it has millions of users and collaborators who provide information every day to improve the map data.
To obtain information about the map you are using go to: Menu - Map - Info.
You can report any error in the OSM map data from the navigation screen, by clicking on the point of the map where the error is located, a higher menu will appear, click on error and insert the description and a photo to check and correct it.
